Hello everyone,
I wish you all a happy new year and all the best for 2008.
I had a great Christmas and a good party for New Years in Christchurch. But to be honest, Xmas and New year on Shorts and a T-Shirt just feels strange. We're sitting at the beach in New Brighton at the 24. (remember the 24. is the main Christmas day in Germany), with a Christmas head, a small Christmas tree and a Stollen (typical German Christmas cake). It was a great time. The same at New Years, I got horrible sunburned and looked like a lobster...

Now I'm in my last week in New Zealand and it feels so strange.
It didn't really work out with the Job in the Hostel. So I decided not change my flight to Australia. Now I'm leaving the most beautiful country (my opinion ;-) ) next Thursday. I'm flying to Melbourne and will meet Tommy and Claudi over there. Hopefully my friend Katja as well, as soon she gets her car fixed. I'm also want to meet Lorna in Sydney again and maybe Jessi in Brisbane... So you, I'm not gonna be alone on the red continent. Actually, even I don't want to leave New Zealand, I'm looking forward to Australia as well.


I want to say Thank you to all the nice, amazing, funny, interesting and just awesome people I met in New Zealand. Thanks to you all I had such a good time and I don't want to miss any of this. Even when my car died on the Dessert Road, it was ok, because Sam was with me. All the awesome people I met in Auckland, thanks so much to you guys. I really enjoyed my time there (even I thought I would hate Auckland). Thanks to all the people I met in Christchurch in my first months in NZ. Thanks to you I learned to enjoy my time here and you made it easier for me to extant my stay. And of course all the nice people I met during my travel time! You made it always easier for me to enjoy a new place.
I had so much fun in the last 11 months and really enjoyed my time.

Hallo ihr Lieben, jetzt hab ich schon einen so "dramatischen" Text in Englisch geschrieben, hoffentlich bekomm ich da auch in Deutsch hin.

Als erstes wuensche ich allen noch einmal ein gesundes und glueckliches Neues Jahr! Ich hoffe doch, ihr habt alle gut gefeiert. Ich hatte auf jeden Fall ein tolles Weihnachtsfest am Strand. Es hat sich aber irgendwie komsich angefuehlt mit Weihnachtsmuetze, Weihnachtsschmuck und einem Stollen am Strand zu sitzen. Ich kann euch sagen, geht mal mit einem mit Stollen vollgefutterten Bauch im Meer in meterhohe Wellen baden... Mir war ganz schoen schlecht. An Silvester war ich mit Thorben, Clausi, Tommy (alles 3 in Auckland kennen gelernt) und Lisa (einer Canadierin (?) in Christchurch kennen gelernt) auf dem Cathedral Square. Dort war ein bisschen Musi und sowas wie ein Feuerwerk. Also, ich muss ja mal ganz ehrlich sagen: so toll wie die Kiwis sind, aber Ahnung vom Feiern haben die nicht! Es war 0.05 Uhr an Neujahr und alle sind nach Hause gegangen....
Ich will mal in den naechsten Tagen noch ein paar Fotos online stellen, allerdings kann ich das vom Hostel PC nicht und ich war heut zu faul in die Stadt zu laufen.

So, dies ist nun meine letzte Woche in Neuseeland... Ich fuehle mich irgendwie sehr komisch. Ich moechte hier nicht weg. Es ist nicht, dass ich nicht nach Hause kommen will, sondern einfach nur, dass ich nicht aus diesem traumhaften Land weg will! Nun fliege ich aber am naechsten Donnerstag nach Melbourne und werde noch rund einen Monat in Australien verbringen. Ich habe auch schon wieder ganz viele Leute, die ich dort besuchen/ wieder sehen moechte. Irgendwie freue ich mich ja trotzdem darauf.
Mit meinem Job in dem Hostel hat es leider nicht so geklappt. Aber da bin ich ehrlich gesagt auch nicht so boese drum. Denn nun kann ich noch einen Monat reisen, statt zu arbeiten :-)

Ich moechte mich noch einmal ganz herzlich bei all den tollen Leuten bedanken, die ich in den letzten 11 Monaten kennen gelernt habe! Es hat bei Desiree in Singapur angefangen, ging ueber die ganzen lustigen Leute weiter, die ich Christchurch kennen gelernt habe (entweder ueber die Sprachschule oder auch so), dann natuerlich all die klasse Leute in Auckland (ich glaube sonst haette ich es nie so lange dort ausgehalten). Aber auch die lieben Menschen die ich waehrend des Reisens kennen gelernt habe, will ich nicht vergessen, so war es immer einfach an einen neuen Ort in Kontakt zu kommen.

Ich wuensch euch allen alles Liebe und fuer die in Deutschland:
Ich habe ein Tour durch our home country geplant. Weiss zwar noch nicht wann und wie, aber ich wuerde mich freuen so viele Leute wie moeglich wieder zu sehen.
